The idea behind Hemingford Village Market is to give small local businesses a regular place to sell their goods within the village and give residents who can’t get into St Ives because of lack of buses etc. a mini market to visit once a month. The market takes place on the second Saturday of the month 9am – 1pm, stalls offer food, plants, flowers and crafts. It’s held at the Parish Center, Hemingford Grey, refreshments are available all day in the “Hemingford Garden Room” as well.

Each month we invite a Hemingford Charity or organisation to have a free stall at the event to promote themselves or for fundraising or both. There’s also a free entrepreneur stall available for anyone who has started a business in the last six months and has a connection to the Hemingfords – “The Entrepreneur Stall” is sponsored by the Hemingford Directory.

Hemingford Grey Parish Council run a surgery at the market, giving local residents the opportunity to meet local Councillors to discuss relevant local issues. Our “News Hub” shares upcoming events and details of local groups. The market is a real community event and we encourage local growers to contact us to sell their excess fruit and vegetables at the market.
